Китайский экспортер промышленных кранов — Руководство покупателя

A practical 2,400-word guide for international purchasers sourcing overhead, gantry, умная парковка and lifting equipment from Китай. Written by the sales engineers at Chunhua Кран Export — a China-based industrial crane exporter & supplier based in Hefei.

1. Why source industrial cranes from China?

By 2026, Китай produces an estimated 70–75% of the world's mid-tonnage (10–150 T) industrial cranes — overhead, gantry and electric hoists. The manufacturing belt is concentrated in three provinces: Anhui (Hefei region, where our primary partner Hefei Chunhua Hoisting Machinery is located), Henan (Changyuan / Xinxiang) and Shandong (Tai'an). Direct-from-Hefei pricing is обычно 30–50% below comparable European brands (Konecranes, Demag, ABUS, SWF) for the same FEM duty class, with comparable structural steel grades and electrical components.

For most international B2B buyers, the right go-to-market is to work with a China-based industrial crane exporter & supplier — an entity that handles supplier qualification, design verification, certification, freight booking and after-sales support — rather than buying direct from the factory through a trading-company markup or, conversely, hiring a freelance sourcing agent who does not own the technical responsibility.

2. How to qualify a Chinese crane supplier (4 minimum checks)

  1. Verify the manufacturing partner. Confirm the supplier's factory name, address, year of establishment, and tax registration number (USCC, 18-digit) via China's National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System. Genuine crane factories were established in 1985–2005.
  2. Request three reference shipments. Ask for B/L numbers, destination ports, and contact at the receiving consignee. A legitimate exporter will share two or three references freely.
  3. Inspect the design calculation report. A genuine Chinese crane manufacturer can produce a FEM 1.001 / DIN 15018 / GB/T 3811 stress calculation as a PDF within 48 hours of receiving span/height/capacity. If the supplier cannot, the engineering team is borrowed and the project carries risk.
  4. Ask for the inspection plan. Pre-shipment inspection by an independent third party (SGS / Bureau Veritas / Intertek / Cotecna) should be on the table for any order above USD 30,000.

3. Design standards — GB/T vs FEM vs DIN vs CMAA

Chinese crane manufacturers baseline-design to GB/T 3811 (Chinese national crane code, framework equivalent to ISO 8686 / FEM 1.001). Duty groups A1–A8 in GB/T parallel FEM M1–M8. For export shipments, the buyer specifies the verifying standard at quote stage:

  • FEM 1.001 / ISO 4301-1 — European default; covers load spectrum and lifting cycles. Required for most CE-marked installations.
  • DIN 15018 — historical German standard, still cited in Русский and Central Asian tenders.
  • CMAA #70 — Производители кранов Association of America specification for top-running double-girder bridges. Used as design verification for cranes destined to US plants.
  • EN 13001 — modern European unified crane design code, gradually superseding DIN 15018 for new installations.

A competent Chinese exporter will produce the verification report in the requested standard at the quote stage, not after PO confirmation.

4. Сертификации by destination

Сертификации are project-specific and add 15–45 days to the lead time. The most common, by destination:

  • European Union — CE marking (Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC). Manufacturer-issued Declaration of Conformity; Notified Body audit (TÜV, Bureau Veritas) only required for safety-critical applications. Cost: USD 800–1,500.
  • Россия / Belarus / Казахстан / Armenia / Kyrgyzstan (EAEU) — EAC (Eurasian Conformity) per TR CU 010/2011 + TR CU 020/2011. Cost: USD 1,200–2,500, lead time 30–45 days.
  • Саудовская Аравия — SABER platform Product Certificate + Shipment Certificate. SASO compliance applies for certain electrical sub-assemblies. Cost: USD 1,000–1,800.
  • ОАЭ / Qatar / Bahrain / Kuwait / Oman — GCC G-Mark via Emirates Authority for Standardization (ESMA). Cost: USD 1,000–2,000.
  • Нигерия — SONCAP. Pre-shipment inspection by SGS / Intertek / Cotecna; PC issued 7–10 days; SC at port. Cost: USD 600–1,200.
  • Кения / Танзания / Uganda — KEBS PVoC (Кения) / TBS PVoC (Танзания). Inspection by SGS / Bureau Veritas. Cost: USD 600–1,000.
  • Бразилия — INMETRO portaria 179. Cost: USD 1,500–3,000.
  • Мексика — NOM-001 / NOM-029. Cost: USD 1,200–2,200.
  • China-domestic re-export — CCC certification. Cost: USD 400–800, 15-day lead time.

A China-based exporter handles all of the above in-house or through accredited testing labs — the buyer does not deal with the regulator directly.

5. Incoterms and freight options

For industrial cranes, the four practical Incoterms are FOB, CFR, CIF and DDP:

  • FOB Shanghai / Ningbo / Tianjin / Guangzhou-Nansha — default quote basis. Buyer arranges freight and insurance.
  • CFR (Cost & Freight) — seller pays ocean freight to destination port. Most popular Incoterm for African and Ближний Восток buyers; eliminates buyer's freight-booking complexity.
  • CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) — CFR plus minimum-value marine insurance. Chunhua Кран Export upgrades to 110% CIF cover with All Risks + War Risk clause via PICC Китай.
  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) — seller handles full door-to-door including destination customs and duties. Adds 8–15% to project cost. Available for US / EU / GCC; not commonly offered to Латинская Америка due to customs complexity.

For cranes with span exceeding 12 m, main beams ship as Out-of-Gauge (OOG) навалочный on flat racks; trolley, hoists and end carriages travel in containers. OOG sea freight is 20–40% more expensive than fully containerised, but unavoidable for large gantries.

For Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Узбекистан, Kyrgyzstan) and parts of Россия, the Khorgos overland route is competitive: 12–18 days versus 35+ for sea via Vladivostok.

6. Payment terms — what is normal in 2026

For genuine Chinese crane exporters in 2026, the conventional payment structure is 30% T/T deposit at order confirmation, 70% T/T balance against Bill of Lading copy before shipment release. This balances supplier production cash flow against buyer protection (the seller cannot release the B/L until the balance is paid).

For orders above USD 50,000, a Letter of Credit at sight (advised by Bank of Китай, ICBC, HSBC or Standard Chartered) is widely accepted by Chinese exporters, with a typical advice charge of 0.15–0.3% of the L/C value. L/C is the safest option for first-time transactions but adds 5–10 days to the order-to-production cycle.

PayPal is accepted for orders under USD 5,000 (samples, spare parts). Western Union is accepted but slower. USDT or other cryptocurrencies are NOT accepted by reputable Chinese crane exporters — anyone proposing crypto payment for industrial crane orders is almost certainly running a scam.

7. On-site installation, commissioning and training

Chinese crane exporters can supply on-site engineers for installation, commissioning and operator training. Typical commercial terms: two engineers, 7–14 days on-site, buyer covers round-trip airfare + accommodation + USD 200/day per engineer + visa support.

For single-girder cranes up to 10 T, many buyers install with local rigging crew using the exporter's assembly drawings and remote video guidance (free of charge). Double-girder cranes 20 T+ and any FEM A5+ duty crane should have at least one supervising engineer on-site for track alignment and load-test calibration.

Multi-language operator manuals (English, Spanish, Русский, Portuguese, Arabic, Indonesian) and training videos are standard delivery items at shipment.

8. Гарантия and after-sales support

Industry-standard warranty from Chinese crane exporters is 12 months from commissioning or 14 months from shipment (whichever is earlier). Coverage: manufacturing defects, electrical components, motors, gearboxes. Excluded: wear parts (brake pads, wire ropes, hooks) and operator-error damage.

Spare-parts response time should be 5 working days from order for in-stock items, 15–25 days for build-to-order items. Look for an exporter that maintains a Hefei spare-parts stock for common components (VFDs, contactors, brake coils, limit switches, motor pinions) — this is the difference between a single-transaction supplier and a long-term partner.

9. Common pitfalls when sourcing cranes from Китай

  • Trading-company markup without engineering value. If the contact cannot answer technical questions (Class B/T 3811 duty group, FEM verification request, VFD brand) within minutes, you are talking to a re-seller — the markup is 8–18% with no design responsibility.
  • Spec inflation. Some bidders quote against a single-girder LD when the application requires a double-girder QD. Always specify the exact load profile and duty class; ask the exporter to confirm the model family in writing.
  • Forgotten certifications. A "good price" without CE/EAC/GCC/SONCAP is meaningless if the crane sits at the destination port for two months waiting for paperwork.
  • Incorrect Incoterm for OOG cargo. Buyers who book FOB for a 20-m gantry main beam often find their freight forwarder has no flat-rack space; CFR / CIF lets the exporter pre-book OOG capacity with COSCO / OOCL.
  • Crypto-payment requests. Reputable Chinese exporters in 2026 do NOT request payment in USDT, Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Treat any such request as a scam signal.

10. How to inquire — the 7-spec checklist
